The global artist management agency Dorn Music founded by leading artist manager Tanja Dorn offers international, holistic and bespoke artist management. Dorn Music aims to unite the interests of artists, presenters, labels, PR-agencies and audiences in order to ensure highly qualitative, unique and exceptional musical experiences.

The role of an Assistant in Artist Management encompasses a variety of tasks that need to be completed in a timely and efficient manner, while setting priorities and adhering to deadlines. The Assistant works with a world-class roster of artists and as a foremost responsility, is required to oversee the artists’ day-to-day schedule and help in the preparation of engagements, effectively communicating between the artist, presenter and any other parties involved.


-Serving as the communication point between artists and presenters to facilitate concert engagements worldwide, overseeing and arranging all relevant details (contract issuing, rehearsal schedules, travel and visa arrangements, artist specific logistical requirements, administration of fee payment and tax and financial documents, invoicing process)

-Building a lasting and positive relationship with the artists and presenters, being their point person for logistical and administrative inquiries

-Recording all relevant artist and engagement details reliably in the company’s corporate diary software

-Liaising with PR or record companies and presenters to coordinate promotional activities such as CD signings and interviews

-Supporting the Artist Managers’ work in any matters related to the artists’ career

-Administrating and maintaining the company website and social media page

Essential skills and qualities

-Quickness to grasp new tasks and ability to enjoy working with great attention to detail

-Excellent organisational skills, capacity to prioritise a heavy workload and meet deadlines autonomously and without supervision

-Remaining flexible and motivated under pressure, producing consistently good results

-Positive attitude, good communication skills and the ability to take direction

-Dedication necessary to provide high-quality service to the artist and presenter and to set and surpass realistic goals

-High degree of empathy and social intelligence as well as a strong sense of responsibility

-Excellent command of German and English, written and spoken, confidence in an international environment

-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs


-Personal affiliation with classical music
-Previous work experience in the Cultural Sector
-Knowledge of additional languages
-Good writing style
-Working knowledge of Apple software
-Knowledge of picture editing software
